12/14 Leah Fairbanks Classes  Southern Flames is sponsoring 2 classes with Leah Fairbanks.  There will be two 2-day sessions offered: March 10 & 11 (Thursday/Friday) and March 12 & 13 (Saturday/Sunday), 2004. 12/8 The Flow Magazine  Thanks to Will Menzies of the Flow Magzine who donated the two subscriptions that were given to our members. If you were not one of the lucky recipients of the Magazine Subscription and would like to subscribe, you can email Will at The Flow.
12/8 Bead Event Calendar  Fire Mountain Gems has  an Events Directory on their web site that provides a calendar of bead related events all over the country.  Go to the Fire Mountain website to check it out.
12/6 90 Members  Southern Flames keeps growing - we now have over 90 members.
12/6  ISGB DUES ISGB dues are usually due by the end of the year so look for your notice.  You must be a paid up ISGB member to be eligible for a Gathering scholarship  Also, since Southern Flames is part of the ISGB network, you must be an ISGB Member as well as a SF member to serve on the SF Board.  If you have never been an ISGB member and are interested in joining go to the ISGB webite.

12/6 TRAVEL and TORCH  In the past few years the number of lampwork artists who offer classes overseas has been increasing.  Now there is an organization called BEADVENTURES which is sponsoring a series of workshops including one in Ireland with Michael Barley as the teacher.  For more information about the offerings of this group call 602 326 7513 or go to www.beadventures.com
12/6 G.A.S. 2006 Proposals The 36th Glass Art Conference will be held in St Louis in 2006.  The G.A.S. Board of Directors is requesting proposals for lectures, demonstrations, and panels for the St. Louis conference that incorporate the theme, "Glass Gateways: Meet in the Middle." Proposals are due February 1, 2005. For detailed information go to their website.

11/14 OPENING for MICHAEL BARLEY CLASS - We have an opening in the Michael Barley class on Monday and Tuesday, December 6 & 7!  The first check in to Kim Runge ($350 for members) will get the spot.  See SF Michael Barley Class Details for Kim’s address and a copy of the registration form (the lottery form).  Michael is a great instructor, so you may want to sign up – what a great gift to yourself for this time of year!

11/11 ROBERT SIMMONS at LYLIA'S TEA PARTY - Robert Simmons is going to have a beaddisplay at the 'Lylia's Tea Party' show in Decatur this weekend. The show runs Friday and Saturday at Lylia's home in Decatur (3037 Anthony Drive,Decatur, 30033(404-294-6705).
2 NEW BEAD STORES - Two new bead stores have opened in our area.  Bead Boutique is located in Alpharetta. Check them out at http://www.beadboutiqueusa.com/   The Bead Basement is in McDonough.  Their website address is www.thebeadbasement.com.  Both stores are also listed on the Atlanta Bead Store pages.
11/8 GLORY AFTER 40! - Kim Runge, our treasurer,  has a new website up with lots and lots of beautiful beads and jewelry.  Click here to check it out.
11/2 SF SWAP n SHOP - We all have too much of some glass stuff and we all want more glass stuff that we don't have.  In order to facilitate everyone's lampworking obsession, we are going to start a new feature on the web for our members so that we can trade or sell lampwork  glass, tools, books, videos, etc. to each other. Click on the Swap n Shop button to the right for more information about how to use this new feature.
11/2 FRIT HAPPENS - Elizabeth Girod is buying frit in kilo quantities and selling some to her Southern Flames friends in 1 or 2 oz bags at her cost.  She has a big supply of colors including the Raku and Gold Iris frits that many of us have been playing with.  If you are interested in purchasing frit from Elizabeth, you can email her at ksglass@earthlink.net or call 678-613-1970.  Click here to see some photos.
11/2 CHRISTMAS TREE - At our December Meeting we will be raffling off a small Christmas Tree that will be decorated with YOUR Christmas themed beads.  The Web Mama won the raffle last year and remains the envy of everyone else who saw it.  To see a photos of last year's tree and of the individual beads that decorated it, click here.  We will post more information about how the raffle works but for now while you are making beads for November's Silent Auction, start thinking about the beads you will make for the Christmas tree. Hint: the more beads you contribute, the bigger chance you have of winning the tree.
11/2 ISGB GATHERING SCHOLARSHIP - Southern Flames will be sponsoring a partial scholarship to the 2005 ISGB Gathering in Louisville KY this summer.  The recipient - who must be a member of ISGB - will be selected by the ISGB Board.  SF will be able to specify that preference should be given to a Southern Flames  or a Southeast Regional member. Requirements and details on how to apply for this scholarship will be posted when available.
11/2 ISGB MEMBERSHIP - ISGB Memberships will be up for renewal soon.  Last year renewal forms were sent out with The Bead Release so look for yours.  If you are not a member now, but would like to be, click here to view and print out an ISGB membership form.  Remember to sit on the SF Board or to be eligible for an ISGB Gathering Scholarship you must be an ISGB  member.
11/2 BEADS FOR 2005 GATHERING - Southern Flames has volunteered to assist the ISGB chapter in Louisville to make beads for attendees at this summer's Gathering. They need 500 beads in flame colors - Red, Orange, and Yellow.  Beads should be made on 3/32" mandrels and be 3/4"-1" in diameter.  Southern Flames will be sponsoring some group activities so that we can have some fun while we make beads together.  But if you would like to make beads in the flame colors at home and bring them to meetings or send them to a Board Member, it would be very much appreciated as every bead is needed.  Southern Flames has volunteered to assist the ISGB chapter in Louisville to make beads for attendees at this summer's Gathering. CHIHULY EXHIBIT EXTENDED The Chihuly exhibit at the Atlanta Botanicical Garden has been extended until the end of December.  And beginning November 4, the exhibit will be open till 9 PM on Tues and Thursday (except for Christmas Eve and New Years eve).  The garden is closed Thanksgiving day and Christmas day.  Call 404-876-5859 or go to  www.atlantabotanicalgarden.org for more info.

10/13 GET WELL LARRY BRICKMAN  Larry Brickman a well known lampworker and teacher, who spoke at the 2004 Gathering and  worked late into the night to set up equipment suffered a stroke recently which will prevent him from working at the torch.  If you would like to send emotional, financial, or bead support to Larry, click here for the mailing address.

9/13 1000 BEADS - JERRI ROEY  We just found out that another of our members is a featured beadmaker in Lark's  1000 Beads.  Check out page 301 to see Jerri Roey's black and white Snake Bracelet. Congratulations Jerri!  
9/9 MEMBER GALLERY UPDATED  The Member Gallery has been updated with the bead photos from our 2004 postcard.  If you did  not have a bead on the 2004 Postcard but would like to have a bead in the Gallery, please send the Web Mama a photo.  If you have a Website, a Business location, or an email address that  you would like to display next to your bead, send the info to the Web Mama.  If you prefer NOT to have your bead in the gallery or would prefer a different photo, send an email.  If you had a photo in the old Member Gallery but not on the 2004 postcard, we moved the old photo to this gallery.

DEFECTIVE GATHERING MUGS  There have been some serious problems with the ISGB Spinner mugs sold at this years Gathering.  If you purchased or received one of these mugs please stop using until you check out the ISGB Forum for detailed information about the defect.
8/28 SCRAPBOOK PHOTOS BY WALTER GREEN  This month Walter Green not only took the great Scrapbook photos but also edited and captioned them.  Because the web mama can never leave well enough alone, she added to these captions some text from the Meeting Recap Notes as well as from her sometimes too fertile imagination.  Please, please, if you have more information about the photos or the WebMama was too inventive or you can identify some of the beads shown, please send a note with your corrections/ additions.  Thank you WALTER!
8/28 STEVIE BELLE DEMO  Don't forget that our  September Meeting is on SATURDAY 9/11 and starts at 6:15 PM when Stevie Belle will give her demo.
8/28 HEALTH INSURANCE "If you are a member of the ISGB, you may be able to  enroll in a health insurance program with the Fortis insurance company. The coverage is not available in all states, just 38 because of individual state law. For some people, the benefits may be better than what you have and you can now call a toll free number to get a risk free assessment. Please mention you are with the ISGB. The number is 1-866-633-6322. ISGB would be interested in hearing your experiences, as we continue to review programs for the benefit of members." 8/14 MORE CAPPED BEADS  Robert Simmons just sent us photos of his first attempt at making capped beads - they are amazing.  And Joan Houghton Theall sent us a close-up photo of the capped bead she was wearing the evening she gave the demo.  Click here to see the photos.
8/14 SYLVIE MURRINE PUNCHES  At the July meeting, after Kim Runge showed us how to use Steinart Optic molds for making murrine, Sylvie Lansdowne introduced us to an alternative and much less expensive solution.  Steinart molds cost about $65 each but Sylvie uses metal scrap- booking punches which sell for $10-!5 and are available in many shapes..  We've put some photos of the molds and the murrine that Sylvie made from them in the Tips and Techniques section.  Click here to see them.

8/2 LOTTERY RULES REMINDER  If you win a spot in Southern Flames class and if, for any reason, you cannot take the class, please advise Kristy Nijenkamp.  Kristy  will  contact the 1st person on the wait list  and that person will  have the 1st opportunity to fill that spot.  If for some reason she can't do it, the opportunity will then move down one name.

Southern Flames policy is that lottery winners cannot give or sell their positions to another person.  All changes must be made by Kristy.  The only thing that you can do, and you must advise us immediately of the change, is switch a class with another person already in a class; i.e. - it you're enrolled in the SA/SU and you find out that you can't make it but could do MO/TU - you may contact the people in the MO/Tu class and see if anyone is willing to make that switch.    To be fair to everyone, this is the only flexibility we have within the lottery.

 

7/24 SOUTHERN FLAMES ARTISTS RECOGNIZED.  We all know how  talented our members are but it is  wonderful when individuals in our group receive outside recognition for their work.  Beadmakers from all over the world submitted bead photos to Lark Books for inclusion in the celebratory collection 1000 Glass Beads.  And three of our member's  were selected to be in  the book.  Congratulations to , Sara Hoyt, Margo Knight, and Don Meadows.  One of Sara's beads is on the back cover.

In another beautifully illustrated new book Margie Deeb's The Beader's Guide to Color,   Kristy Nijenkamp is listed as a contributing artist.  Some of her  beads featured into the jewelry photographs and there is a short bio about her in the back of the book. . Way to go, Kristy!   (The Southern Flames Website is also listed in the appendix as an online resource. )

7/24 THANK YOU to GERRY WHITE.    Those of us who were at our July meeting appreciated the wonderful video view of the demos that enabled the entire audience to have a close up view of the artist's hands, and tools.  We have Gerri White, owner of Beads by Design, to thank for bringing in the video camera, tripod and monitor and setting it all up for our use.

7/24 2004 POSTCARD TOTE BAGS    Once again, Rick Hidding and his company "The Cloth Bag" has donated canvas tote bags with a print of the 2004 SF Postcard on the side. The bags are larger than last year's edition and you can purchase one at our meetings for $10.00 - a great bargain with all the money going to Southern Flames.  Click here to see a photo.
7/22 2004 POSTCARD: If you didn't notice our 2004 Postcard is now featured on our home page.  The Postcard Committee did a magnificent job of taking the photos and putting them together in a design that reflects this year's Gathering Theme which is Glass Town.  You can click below the photo to see a larger version and a listing of the individual beadmakers. 7/22 KATE MCKINNON PROJECT WORKBOOK: Kate McKinnon, a very well know jewelry artiest has generously contributed a copy of her recently published book to our Resource Center where it will be available for members to borrow.   Click here to go to Kate's website to read more about the book and see her work. 7/22 2004 SOUTHERN FLAMES TOTE BAGS Rick Hidding, who is the Southern Flames Recording Secretary has donated new tote bags featuring the 2004 Postcard.  A photo of the bag will be available in the scrapbook shortly and they are priced at $10. You can check out Rick's company at his website.
7/22 1000 GLASS BEADS Walter Green has     written a review of Lark Presses new book 1000 Glass Beads.  Click here to read his review.  (The book is currently available for purchase at Beads by Design and everyone who has a copy is raving about it.)

7/7 STEVI BELLE LOTTERY.  The lottery for the Stevi Belle classes will take place at the July meeting at 7:30.  Make sure your check for $325 and Lottery form are in to Kim by 7:15 that evening or mail them to Southern Flames so that they arrive by Monday July 19.  (Only  paid up members not in arrears to the Resource Center are eligible for the lottery.)

STEVI BELLE CLASS: Stevi Belle will be teaching two classes focusing on Surface Decoration and Texture in September.  One class will be September 11 & 12 (Saturday and Sunday).  The other will be on September 13 & 14 (Monday and Tuesday).  The class fee will be $325.  The lottery will take place at next month’s meeting on July 21st.  Details on the lottery process and Stevi’s class will be sent out in a separate email later this week.

OTHER CLASSES: The next class Southern Flames will sponsor is Lauri Copeland’s borosilicate class in October (lottery in August);  followed by Michael Barley in December (lottery in October).  Other instructors scheduled for 2005 include Jennifer Geldard, Leah Fairbanks and Corina Tettinger.

FOUR SEASONS BEAD SHOW and FIRE SALE thru June 11

The Four Seasons Bead and Jewelry Show runs through Friday, June 11th. If you haven't been in to see the wonderful seasonal beads and jewelry, now is the time! FOUR SEASONS BEAD SHOW May 8-10     

Becky Sizemore, past co-president of Southern Flames and owner of the Creative Spirit gallery has extended an invitation to SF members to attend "Four Seasons Bead Show"   The show represents beadmakers from across the US, including several well known Atlanta beadmakers, who participated in a Four Seasons bead exchange last year. Led by Deanna Griffin Dove, these beadmakers created beads inspired by the changing seasons and exchanged them with each other.  The opening is Friday night 5/8 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be light refreshments. and all beads and jewelry made with seasonal beads will be for sale. INNER CHILD SPOTLIGHT    The new edition of Spotlight, published by Corina Tett is now available.  Sylvie Lansdowne, Andre Kosak, and Linda Edmunds (Lily Steele Beads) have beads featured in it.  It is a fun edition and a big one with many artists and techniques included.  Price is $20 and it is available at Beads By Design. 

 

BULLSEYE GLASS GROUP ORDER    Cristie Prince is organizing a group buy for Bullseye Glass at a 50% discount rate.  If you would like to place an order bring a list of the glass that you want and a check to the April Meeting. A catalog will be available at Beads by Design or you can contact Cristie if you have questions.  Note: The Bullseye sample pack normally $130 can be ordered at 65.50 plus shipping.  Some of us already ordered and it is a great deal.

 

BATCH ANNEALING    If you have beads to be batch annealed, please bring them to the monthly meeting before 8PM.  There is $5  charge each batch.  They will be ready for pickup the following day.  Note that electricity interruptions and  other unforeseen circumstances may affect the annealing process and Southern Flames cannot be responsible for any mishaps that occur.  However, we always do our best to insure that your beads come back to you intact and properly annealed.

 

RENTAL TORCHES    We are currently reevaluating our rental torch setup.  Until this project is complete, torch rental is suspended.  Sorry for the inconvenience and hopefully torches will be available again for rental in the very near future.

Deanna Griffin Dove Workshops...Friday class has two openings left! If these are not filled shortly by members, the slots will be available to non-members. Saturday's class is filled although we have the first three wait list slots open. This is a chance to have a great class with a great teacher! Smyrna Art Center Bead Show   During July and August, we will be able to show our beads at the Smyrna Art Center We can display loose beads and/or jewelry. Sylvie Lansdowne is coordinating this.  She needs help and she needs your beads along with information about the bead. Get in touch with Sylvie, if you can help.

April Fool's Bead Challenge  April Fools" is the theme of bead challenge for April...inspiration. Bring a bead to be eligible for the drawing.  The meeting will be lots of fun with team bead making led by Sylvie Lansdowne.  Bonnie Anderson won the drawing for the March bead challenge and received a gift certificate for Beads by Design

Oxygen Concentrators.  Dan Reinagel, who lives in the Atlanta ares (cell 678.409.4112)  sells the oxygen concentrators and is recommended by more than a few of Southern Flames Members.

Natural Gas:  The Fireplace Co, Canton Road: 770.427.6636: was able to plumb a torch with natural gas ( this house already had gas to the house) and it is working really well.

Board Elections Election of officers of the Board will be at next month's meeting.  The slate will be sent out early so that you can vote in advance if you cannot be at the meeting.  If you want to nominate yourself or another member for a Board position, contact Margo Knight.

Bullseye Glass  Want Bullseye? Contact Cristie Prince...she has made a deal with Bullseye.  If four members buy Starter packs..(and more than that committed to the purchase at the meeting) the whole group will qualify for later discounts on glass when the glass purchase is coordinated by Cristie.   All orders will be done in a group as Bullseye will only work with one people from the group...a great way to work with this glass at a super price...bullseye tour at the gathering this summer...

Program! Program! Program! This was fantastic!!!!  

*Christie Prince did a great demo for wine bottle stoppers! She showed samples, told how to bundle the glass, and gave us information on where to purchase hardware (See the Links page)  What a great idea for gifts for friends and family...

*Gerri White talked about her background in working with metals in making fine jewelry. She told how this related to the metals that we have available to us for using with our beads...density of the metals, alloys, stamping and gauges of wire...lots to help us in choosing the type of metal for the specific project we might have.

*Lewanda Hardy brought wire, and the rest of the supplies we needed to turn our beads into a ring!!!! We were all surprised by the ease at which she was able to show us how to do this! We all went home with a ring made from our own beads!!!! Lewanda also had a special drawing for a wine goblet as part of the program.

Soooooo, if you didn't make it to the meeting.....you missed one fantastic time!!!!!  Check out the photos in the Flames Scrapbook..  Lillie B.

If you cannot come to the meeting then either mail the bead, packaged safely, to Southern Flames at 5050 Rosedown Place, Roswell, GA  30076 or drop it off at Beads By Design and place  it in the white mailbox in the kitchen area.

 

Remember, we're trying to go for a more "round" shape as opposed to a bicone or long bead, so we can fit  everyone fairly on the card.  The background will probably be white, so keep that in mind when making your bead (e.g. a white bead may not stand out on a white background.) 

 

Please package your bead so that it will not break and include your name, telephone number and e-mail address...and if your bead has a title, please list it.

 
 

CLASS ANNOUNCEMENT: DEANNA GRIFFIN DOVE  

 

“WATER, EARTH & SKY  -  CREATING BEADS WITH DEPTH”  Beads become more individual as techniques are combined and layered. Learn how to layer different techniques by creating detailed three dimensional landscapes using appropriate casing techniques, working with inclusions, canes and murrini. 

Deanna will be teaching two one day classes  You can take one class or both classes. Each day finishes with a project and if you take both, then they easily build on each other.  Note: beginning flame work experience required.

FEBRUARY MEETING UPDATE from Lillie Bavendam

WELL....for those of you who missed the meeting you missed an AWESOME time!!!!! We had the BEST beads you have seen for our bead exchange!!!! It was so much fun watching the selecting of the wrapped packages, not knowing what was inside...then the surprise of seeing the bead or beads!! and the 'stealing' away of that and other beads....for all those who came and participated, FANTASTIC!!!!! I think we all had a great time. Look at the photos in the Southern Flames Scrapbook.

 

The bead challenge had lots of entries! We had one winner! Carl Andrews went away with a Southern Flames tote bag with glass and glass stuff! We were all winner in that we all got to see different hearts that people made. Don't forget to take part in the 'Green Challenge' coming up in March.

 

March, Wed, 17th...a heads up for all of you....the green bead challenge...and three speakers....Gerry White will take to us about metals....those we use with our beads, Christie Prince will demo a wine stopper and Lewanda Harding will demo and help each of us make a ring setting from wire for a bead.

POSTCARD BEADS- Due at March Meeting

For the past two years Southern Flames has contributed a postcards with member bead photos to the Gathering fundraiser.  You can see last years photo on our home page.  If you would like to have a bead on the postcard, please bring it to the next meeting in a bag with your name and a description of the bead.  We will take the photos and return the bead when the postcard is finished.  We want beads from ALL our members - don't be shy!  

SYLVIE LANSDOWNE CLASS March 27/28

Sylvie Lansdowne is teaching an intermediate Lampworking class at Beads by Design on March 27-28 which is a Saturday/Sunday.  The Web Mama took this same class a year or so ago and HIGHLY recommends it.  Sylvie is a wonderful teacher, an amazing beadmaker and I learned some techniques and approaches that I have been using ever since.  Plus - we had so much fun!  If you are interested call Beads by Design at 770-425-3909 for more information or to register.

NOT RECEIVING EMAIL FROM US ?????

Lillie Bavendam - Corresponding Secretary of Southern Flames -  asks if you have not been receiving e-mail from her to please send her an email immediately  to lillie_1@bellsouth.net  with your correct address.  She is getting alot of returned messages and wants to fix this.   The last email that Lillie sent to the membership was sent on  Feb 8 and it was about our Feb 18th meeting.

BE PREPARED for RINGING in MARCH

At our March meeting, Lewanda Hardy is going to show us how to make rings using brass wire and beads.  If you would like to make a ring at the meeting (and we should have enough supplies for 20-30 people, make a bead with a 3/32" hole (medium size mandrel) and bring it to the meeting. Lewanda will be supplying the wire and the wooden dowels to make the rings.

 

BEADS OF COURAGE.. PLEASE READ

Jodi Lindsey of the Arizona Society of Glass Beadmakers is coordinating a program called "Beads of Courage" for children's cancer treatment centers and are requesting our assistance. She writes:

" The program gives certain beads for certain treatments to these children going through the cancer treatment process. All of these beads are put on a leather necklace. Like a talisman for these courageous children! You can look at each child's necklace and see how many chemo treatments they have been through, how many blood draws, etc. by each certain bead representing all these procedures on their necklaces.

We are helping two hospitals right now. Tucson Hospital and now, the Phoenix Children’s Hospital will be doing this program as well. This is a huge on-going task and so the ASGB is extending an invitation for ANYONE who would like to be involved to please do so! ....

They need about 150 purple hearts ASAP! These purple hearts are the MAIN special bead for these children. They signify the finishing of their cancer treatment. These beads need to be made on a 1/8 inch mandrel. If you decide to put the hole through the heart vertically, a wire work 1/8" loop should be incorporated so it can hang from the necklace. The only specs on these hearts is that they are purple and have the 1/8" size hole horizontally, or if they hang vertically to be put on a wire worked 1/8 inch loop. Other then that you can make them as detailed as you would like them to be.

The hospital also needs Butterfly shaped beads. These beads are VERY special as they are the "closure" bead that will be given to the parents whose children pass away. Again, beads need to be made on a 1/8 inch mandrel and if the hole is done vertically please wire work it with a 1/8" loop. These butterflies can be any color and any design.

They will also accept any regular beads, color, bumpy, etc. These beads will be used for children to choose from for “special treatment procedures”. And again they need to have a 1/8" hole.
The Phoenix hospital is needing as many beads as possible before March 2004.

So if you can help with that it would be AWESOME!
But I can accept ANY beads after that as well as this program is an ongoing one and they will always need these types of beads.

Please include a name or business card along with your
beads, or any one else who donates from the Southern
Flames, so that I can include that with the donations
to the hospital."

All of those who came to the meeting on Friday night and saw the demo by Larry Scott thought it was  fantastic . We had an AWESOME turnout and we want to thank so many of you for coming! Larry was very impressed! (Click here to go to photos).

Don Meadows who built our exhaust system was presented with a gift certificate and beads. The gift beads for Don were a great surprise.  The exhaust hood is working well and we all are grateful to him for his expertise and generous time in making this possible. 

Keep in mind, that the February meeting is going to be Wednesday February 18th, at Beads by Design. BRING one package, gift wrapped, with one (or more) beads...or something made with a bead...to be 'exchanged.  (See below for more information about how the exchange will work.)

FEBRUARY SWEETHEART BEAD EXCHANGE

At the February meeting we will be having a bead exchange which should be lots of fun. This is how it will work:

  • Make a beautiful bead and wrap it up.  Make sure that you DO NOT identify who made the bead - either inside or outside the package. 

  • When you come to the meeting there will be a place to drop off your bead.
  • Every one will pick a number from a hat - In this game a high number is good to have.
  • The person who picked Number 1 selects and opens a gift. 
  • Now it's Number 2's turn.  Number 2 has a decision to make.  They can take the bead Number 1 has just opened or select and open a different bead.  If Number 2 decides to take Number 1's bead, then Number 1 gets to select a new bead from the unopened pile and open it.
  • Number 3 can select a wrapped bead or take Number 1's bead or Number 2's bead.
  • This continues until each person has had a turn. The higher your number, the less chance of someone taking the bead you picked.  Until the very last (highest number) person has their turn, nobody will know exactly which gift they will end up with!!

Members...if you have someone special that you would like to have come to Atlanta to give a workshop, let anyone on the board know and we will see what we can do to make it happen...

NEW KILN for SOUTHERN FLAMES

We will be buying a second kiln for use by Southern Flames classes and as a backup for the existing kiln.  The kiln selected is the Tool Box kiln with Controller that Don McKinney makes and it is currently on order.

ATLANTA BEAD RESOURCE LIST
