Membership Information

Southern Flames meets once a month in Marietta at Beads by Design. Meetings include general announcements, informal networking, bead exchanges, and a demo, lecture, or special program or event.    For dates, directions, and meeting location, go to the Meeting Info page. If you are thinking about becoming a member, please come to a meeting as our guest.

 

Membership dues are $25.00 a year.

Payable by Check or PayPal.  NOTE: If you use the PayPal -we add 1.06 to cover PayPal fees.)

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

  • Resource Cabinet-   We have a large number of items in our resource cabinet including a variety of presses, multiple tools and  optic molds, many beadmaking books, tapes and DVD's for Southern Flames members to borrow and use.  Click here to see what is available.
  • Yahoo Group-   Searching to increase the bead community connection, we have established a Yahoo Group for members to discuss ideas, plan to meet, etc.  Members will receive an invitation as they join for the first time. Or they can find instructions for joining buy clicking here.
  • Special Events-  Members  can participate in many special events such as Demo Day, the Holiday Tree Raffle, Beads of Courage beadmaking parties, Garage Sale, Silent Auction, and more.  Check out the SF Scrapbook to see photos and read more about these activities.
  • Confirmed Instructors-   Members in good standing get first choice in the lottery for the guest instructors.
  • Torch Time-   Members in good standing can take advantage of torch time at Beads by Design
  • Instructor Webpage-   Southern Flames instructors and others who sell their beads will have their own reference page for those seeking services.
  • Monthly Meetings - Monthly meetings include interesting topics and demos with opportunities to meet others with similar interest….namely beads, beads, and more beads.

To become a member of The Southern Flames, you can either:

  • Use PayPal  - if you have a PayPal account you can use the PayPal Button.  Note that we add $1.06 to cover PayPal fees so the total will be @26.06

Membership in Southern Flames runs from  May 1 to April 30. However, if you join during Jan, Feb, March or April, your membership will run through April 30th of the following year.

 

It is not mandatory to be an ISGB member to belong to The Southern Flames but it is encouraged. Non-ISGB members may not hold Board positions in The Southern Flames, but may make nominations for Board positions and vote in Southern Flames elections.
