Who We Are

Southern Flames - Who We Are

Southern Flames is a local chapter of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers (ISGB). Its goal is to offer its members a supportive environment for creative and professional growth. We usually meet on either Wednesday or Saturday. Be sure to check the Next Meeting section of this website for meeting dates, times, directions and agenda.

In addition to monthly meetings, Southern Flames sponsors classes taught by visiting artists and hosts holiday, community, and special events. Check the Flames Calendar.

Southern Flame Membership Dues are $25.00 per year and membership benefits include:

Participation and advance notice of classes with top-notch teachers;

Participation in bead challenges and drawing prizes which have included Beads by Design gift certificates, ISGB membership dues and partial scholarships to the ISGB Gathering;

Use of Southern Flame torches, kiln and tools at Beads by Design for personal use or for classes;

Participation with our S.F. Resource center of books, videos, DVDs, etc.;

Participation in group buys of glass or other materials;

Inclusion in the Southern Flame postcard printed for the ISGB Gathering,

Links on the Southern Flames website and of course,

All the fun and fellowship with fellow glass beaders!
